Emanuel Pastreich
Independent Candidate for President
Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas has revealed himself to be a venal pet of the super-rich, a man who thought nothing of taking extensive bribes from his masters over the last thirty years as he offered up to them generous rulings in favor of big business that had nothing to do with the Constitution, or with human dignity, in return for their generous patronage.
Justice Thomas must be impeached for his abuse of the law immediately, impeached by a federal court with the support of the Department of Justice, or, if those institutions prove to be too decadent, or too cowardly, to carry out this task, by a people’s court in accord with the Constitution.
Then, once Justice Thomas has been stripped of his unearned immunity, he must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Starting this investigation in earnest will, without doubt, uncover far greater bribery—granted that what has been uncovered so far is more than sufficient to put him behind bars.
You or I would be locked up for decades if we engaged in a fraction of Justice Thomas’ corrupt behavior—and yet, Justice Thomas assumed that somehow the law, and common decency, no longer applied to him.
Putting this criminal, who parades as a judge, behind bars will be just the start of our nation’s housecleaning. His rulings in the Supreme Court have upheld the absolute right of multinational corporations and billionaires to elude the law and to collect maximum profits without any responsibility, or liability, to the people. Justice Thomas and his peers were not interpretating the Constitution, but playing the tricks of a lapdog that hears his master’s voice.
All of these rulings in favor of the rich directed and staged by Justice Thomas, while he enjoyed special treatment from the wealthy, must be revisited, and in most cases, perhaps all cases, his rulings must be overturned.
So damaging to our society have those rulings been that we have no choice but to overturn them.
Nor is that the end of the story. The billionaires who bought off Justice Thomas with various bribes must be held financially liable for the malpractice of Constitutional law inflicted on the American people by this man. The responsibility does not end with Justice Thomas, not by a long shot.
When President George H. W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court of the United States on July 1, 1991 to replace the distinguished Justice Thurgood Marshall, there were grave doubts as to Justice Thomas’ integrity.
Those fears proved justified.
Justice Thomas’ central role in organizing and promoting pro-business, pro-billionaire rulings by the Supreme Court is undisputed. Further investigation will no doubt expose how other justices, and others in the court system and the Justice Department, collaborated in this travesty.
Notable among the unconstitutional rulings brought about through Justice Thomas’s efforts are:
The Bush vs. Gore ruling of December 12, 2000 in which the Supreme Court determined that George Bush, a favorite of the rich, was the winner of the presidential election even though he had lost the vote, thereby asserting that the Supreme Court had an authority to determine elections that the Constitution does not grant it.
The Leegin Creative Leather Products vs. PSKS ruling of June 28, 2007 in which the Supreme Court determined that price fixing by corporations was entirely legitimate and legal—overturning one hundred years of law and making corporations the masters of the economy.
The Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission ruling of January 21, 2010 in which the Supreme Court determined that corporations and the super-rich are entitled to spend unlimited amounts of money through undisclosed agents to bribe politicians in secret.
These three rulings are part of a vendetta against the American citizens carried out by big money that has transformed the republic into a tyranny, one step at a time.
Perhaps the most disturbing part of this sale of the authority of the Federal government to the highest bidder, following the traditions not of Cicero or Pompey, but rather of Caligula and Nero, is that the rulings of Justice Thomas were described in the corporate media as being “conservative.”
This term “conservative” suggests falsely to the public that somehow Justice Thomas’ rulings stemmed from a deep faith in God, a commitment to Christian values, or a desire to hold up traditional mores.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
There was nothing vaguely Christian, nothing even slightly related to the teachings of Jesus, in Justice Thomas’ betrayal of the citizens, or in his currying of favor with Mammon’s high priests.
Was Justice Thomas meditating on Jesus’ words “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God” when the billionaire H. Wayne Huizenga, owner of America’s premiere polluter Waste Management, sent his private Boeing 737 to whisk him down to Florida to watch the Miami Dolphins from his “Sky Lounge?”
Was Justice Thomas reciting to himself the warnings of Jeremiah when the oil billionaire Paul Novelly flew him on private jets to the Caribbean to sail with him on his luxurious yacht “Le Montrachet” for extended cruises, enjoying performances on its grand piano and its full bar?
Was Justice Thomas wondering whether the rich man could fit through the eye of a needle when another oil billionaire, David Sokol, hosted him every summer at his massive estate Paintbrush Ranch in Jackson Hole?
No, there was nothing conservative about the grotesque and indulgent manner in which Justice Thomas readily lapped up the bribes offered by his masters.
Sadly, Justice Thomas is but the tip of a swollen cancer that extends throughout the entire judicial system. Numerous judges in the state and federal courts routinely take money and favors from the rich, from the corporations and banks, to render service. They sentence the innocent to jail, or force them to plea guilty to crimes they never committed, in order to fill up private prisons that then funnel money back to themselves. They rule in favor of corporations and against the people in blatant disregard for the law and they see such immoral actions as a job well done.
These judges for sale have supported the radical privatization of the police, of intelligence, of the military, and of the courts themselves—and they have severely limited the basic rights of the citizen at every turn.
In other words, they have crucified the Constitution on a cross of stinking financial carrion and then they have clapped their hands in glee.
I offer today my opinion on Justice Thomas, and the corrupt tradition that he embodies, not as a representative of either of the bankrupt political parties, not as a conservative or a liberal, but as a candidate for president who wishes to represent the citizens of the United States in accord with the Constitution.
I ask that I be corrected if any part of my argument be flawed or limited.
I ask, I demand, that all and any of the other candidates for president, Mr. Biden, Mr. Trump, Mr. DeSantis, Mr. Kennedy, Professor West, that you debate me concerning the legitimacy and the necessity of the impeachment of Justice Thomas. I ask you, the citizens of the United States, have you heard any of the other candidates for president suggest that Justice Thomas’ actions were illegal?
The most recent reports on the bribes taken by Justice Thomas are detailed in this article in Pro Publica.
"Bottom line first. Im in 80% cash (T-bills, MM funds) because of the political situation in the USA and around the world. If you dont want to hear political commentary as it applies to World markets, this is a good time to hit the delete button.
I just returned from Bangkok. I was the keynote speaker at a large conference in the manufacturing city of Guangzhou and visited both Shanghai and the political capital Beijing where I had meetings with locals (in the know) that gave me insights to the current situation in China.
Additionally, I have been doing business in Russia since the mid nineties. I have been doing business with China since early 2000. I have solid contact there, that will talk to me. Local Investment companies in both countries have purchased licenses for my book Trading with DiNapoli Levels. The last time I was in Moscow and Kiev was 2017. We have a DiNapoli expert in Poland who has actively supported refugees from Ukraine. I have lived and worked outside the USA for over 20 years. We (CIS inc) also have contacts in the mid east where I have spoken many times. I have current, feet on the ground, information Im happy to share with you. If the following offends you& thats not my purpose but Im not about to lie or be politically correct. Ill just get to the point and be brief.
First, China is incredible& everything is shinny and new: the streets the airports, the trains, the train stations, the buildings, the subways. They have spent trillions on infrastructure and we have spent trillions on stupid unproductive wars and death. Look at the airports in any US city and do the same in China or Russia-- it is appalling how we have squandered our wealth.
Do you want to invest in a country that is run with such stupidity?
Economic activity is clearly off in China but it is still strong. The people in China are still willing to work and they do. We have heard about the demographic situation in China and how bad it is& well not from my perspective. China is stuffed full of aggressive smart young people that will eat our lunch. They value real practical education like engineering, not gender studies.
China does not want a war with us. Why would they when they clearly see that we are destroying ourselves.
On the other hand our Government lies about Chinas plans and stokes the fires of war for political gain. Americas propaganda machine is one of our most accomplished products.
Do you want to invest in a country that lies to you every day, day in and day out. Does China wish to invade Taiwan.. not a chance. They will gain control without firing a shot. Can they be prodded into a conflict? You bet! Just like Russia was.
Can you invest in China. No, I have pulled 90% of my China position on the post pandemic rally, because I dont want sanctions to make my position worthless as happened with my (fortunately tiny) positions in Russia. Do you want to invest in a country that steals other countries money as the USA has done in Venezuela, Russia, Afghanistan, to mention a few. There are ramifications to this behavior that are directly before us. Buy 10,000 shares at the market! Yeah right.
Massive money laundering has gone on in Ukraine through the Sam Bankman-Fried fraud directly to the Democratic party. The same thing is happening now with the billions sent to Ukraine. But both parties in America are involved. Is it any wonder that all attempts to audit ginormous money shipments to Ukraine have been shot down by both parties in our congress.
Do you want to invest in a country that perpetrates fraud on American taxpayers so they can get campaign contributions?
I said in September 2021 on the TFNN broadcast that I suspected that someone was deliberately trying to destroy America. I dont suspect any longer. American cities are in ruin. Crime is encouraged. Our borders are wide open. Do you want to invest in a country that is actively under attack by powerful groups within and outside of its own borders?
Our justice system is a joke. Our corporate news media lies overtly or by omission. Do you want to invest in a country that is both lawless and deliberately clueless?
The rogue three letter agencies that infect our government are out to get Trump and his supporters, at any cost. They will stop at nothing to keep him out of office including assignation. Do you want to be long the S&P when you hear that on breaking news?
And Ukraine- when political narratives reign above truth and the stupid and power sick are in control, Do you want to be long the NASDAQ when in one day, one misstep, could lead to an overnight drop of 25%? I predicted the 1987 500 point drop. I was trading when it happened. Yes it can happen again!
In my view civil war is more likely here in the USA than not. So 5% yielding T-Bills seem a good bet, along with some gold and oil. A long short portfolio also seems a reasonable approach. But even so there is no safety. I grew up with the draft and Vietnam staring me in the face. I saw the terrible division in the country firsthand. Today is worse!
God bless America, Someone sure needs to."
