July 4th and American Independence

Wise words from James Roguski

On this Independence Day, rather than repeat what I wrote last July 4, “Happy July Fourth, Formally Known as Independence Day” I would rather direct attention towards friend and colleague James Roguski’s thoughtful essay just published today, “Our Right to Abolish Government.” James makes the point, which I have tried to make as well, that the United States of America as defined by the Declaration of Independence is a revolutionary nation and we are as citizens empowered to overthrow a corrupt state.

Our effort in Green Liberty Caucus under Chuck Fall’s leadership, is focused on establishing a spiritual, intellectual, and institutional platform for revolutionary reform that would realize the constitutional republic that is hidden away within the imperial blob that the United States has degenerated into over the last sixty years. Green Liberty Caucus, and other such efforts, can, and should, be linked to a move to establish a provisional government which can serve as a spiritual, intellectual, and institutional alternative to rule by multinational banks and corporations through proxies. We established a first Provisional Government in May of 2021 while I was still in Korea. The effort was suppressed and the website eventually hacked. But as V stated so succinctly, “Ideas are bulletproof.”

The Latin “E pluribus unum” means “out of many one” and the Chinese “He erbutong” (和而不同) from the Analects means “to work together in harmony but not become identical.” Both ideals are essential for a functional constitutional republic.

At the same time, I want to warn everyone that the super-rich and their lackeys are already planning to create a bogus “provisional government for the people” and they have already called in their clowns and puppets to play this role. Most likely Steve Bannon, the most beloved of the billionaires’ puppets posing as a populist, has been put in jail and is being groomed as yet another false messiah subject to prosecution by the “deep state.” Let it be known that anyone who talks about truth and the Constitution, but then divides the nation into “conservatives” and “progressives,” is a messiah made of cardboard and should be treated as an agent of the powerful.

Unlike the false rebels who appear in the media and in the “alternative media” that refuses to talk about real state crimes, we welcome you to join us in creating such a provisional government on this July 4.

Americans must remember the true purpose behind our 4th of July celebrations

Governments are instituted to serve We the People.

We have authority over our government.

We have the power to reform, alter or even abolish our state governments.

What are WE waiting for?

Exercising the right, and the duty, to reform and to even abolish government when it no longer serves us, is how the United States of America began 248 years ago.

In Congress, July 4, 1776

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
