When I watched Donald Trump’s expression at the Republican Convention, I was taken aback. He seemed even somber, even a bit uncertain, like a man who is not sure what will happen to him next. When I stated that the recent incident in Pennsylvania was fake, I did not mean that Donald Trump was in charge of events, that he had cooked up this half-cooked plan. If anything, he is being threatened at every turn by powerful friends—who are not friends at all. After all, Trump is not really from the billionaire-trillionaire class; from their perspective, after the death of Queen Elizabeth, he is ultimately expendable.
He may be set up to be the next “president” at the convention, but at this point I doubt he has much choice in the matter.
I think you are right. He is a puppet on a string, just like most politicians.
He had a similar look in 2016 the day after the election.
