Emmanual, please read Nobel Prize winning economist Elanor Ostrom.

I agree with Howard Switzer, no national bank. A National bank creates an easy target for takeover and it will be clueless about the needs of distant communities. The solution is tens of thousands of small, local banks serving local communities. Elanor Ostrom said that distant corporations have no idea of what local communities need. Only the folks living there know what they need. Hence, only local bankers are going to know what is best for their particular local communities. Variations in resources, agriculture, culture and numerous other things will all come into play to determine what any local community needs at any time in its history. There is no way a national bank can make these decisions.
