I was again honored with a thoughtful fourth letter from Michael Buergermeister in Vienna, whom, perhaps because I have a brother named Michael, I have come to think of as a “brother in Substack,” a brother in arms in the confusing battle with the hidden forces, things seen and unseen (quoting the title of Harry Harootunian’s book “Things Seen and Unseen: Discourse and Ideology in Tokugawa Nativism” which I read as a scholar of Japanese philosophy many years ago.
His letter lumps together the obvious COVID 19 fraud with the implausible thesis that global warming is a myth, and that even if it is true, it is basically harmless.
As I mentioned before, there is a campaign going on, which I suspect is funded by the super-rich who wish to divide and confuse us, to use half-truths in order to get us to buy into fictions that are promoted for the benefit of the financial elite.
I would like to repeat here more clearly and succinctly my position:
The fact that the Apollo landings were an obvious fraud does not mean that NASA has never sent exploration missions into space, and it most certainly does not mean that the Earth is flat—a childish tale promoted by certain people who are without any doubt paid off to pack this crap in their more honest reporting as a condition for payments and publicity.
No matter the poverty I may suffer, I will not fill my postings up with statements about UFOs, the evil conspiracies of Zionists, Free Masons, the Vatican, or the Rothschilds. Although I think there is zero evidence for the influence on US policy of space aliens, the other players are real and they do have real impact. They are, however, just part of a larger spectrum of players. The real powers for the most part are super rich families who pay big money to stay out of the newspapers. Those super rich pay off bloggers and journalists to blame everything on Bill Gates and George Soros and be silent about others.
The fact that COVID 19 is a fraud and medicine has been corrupted by investment banks does not mean that viruses do not exist, or that not a single vaccine has ever worked, or that chemotherapy has no benefits at all. We need to completely rethink medicine and cast off the bonds of the Rockefeller system of medicine, but we must not through the baby out with the bathwater.
The fact that global warming is used as means to promote totalitarian control by multinational investment banks and private equity via “sustainable development” and other UN efforts to supplant the autonomy of nations, does not mean that global warming is a fraud, or that climate change is not catastrophic for humanity. Nor does it mean that global governance is a bad idea in every case.
Climate change is complex, driven by many factors, and accompanied by an equally deadly twin: the collapse of biodiversity. I will not try to defend my position here, but will state here the following as a professor who taught several classes on climate change:
“Within twenty minutes of reading the early scientific discussions of COVID 19 in January 2020, I could tell it was a clear fraud and I refused to have anything to do with it even though it cost me my job and forced me out of the country.by contrast, I read many books on climate change over the last 15 years which were carefully researched. There were mistakes, and of course Greta and Al Gore give misleading and simplistic explanations for climate change that benefit the rich. But I did not find any big gaping holes in the argument about climate change. I think that the only issue is the time scale: are we talking about a catastrophe in 10 years, or in 150 years. The catastrophe, however, is clear.
Moreover, although there are now plenty of banker’s pets making money pimping for the new ‘sustainable development’ of fascistic climate change policy, I remember 15 years ago working with people like Daniel Garrett and others. We were dismissed, we were driven into poverty, and in the case of Daniel, dismissed from work at the State Department for advocating for a real response to climate change.
None of us were being paid off by multinational banks and globalists. But the climate change myth argument was promoted by toys of the Koch Brothers like the Heartland Institute which are paid to sling mud but make no serious effort to refute serious research like Elizabeth Kolbert’s “The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History.” The reason that those pointing to a climate change fraud cannot use the scientific method to take down Kolbert, and others, is simple. Her arguments, and those of others, are scientific in nature. They may be wrong in terms of the time line (100 years rather than 15 years) or on other points, but they offer more than enough evidence to support current arguments about catastrophe.
Finally, petroleum has negative impact on the environment at multiple levels, not just CO2 emissions. If a climate-change denier said, “There is no ‘climate change’ but petroleum is killing our oceans, poisoning our soil, forcing people to pay through the nose to make the oil billionaires even richer,” then I would say to myself, “This guy may have gotten off on the wrong foot, but he is looking for truth and justice.”
Sadly, the sad lot of “scientists” that Michael introduces are bereft of any sense of the scientific method. The fact that climate change is increasingly used by corporations to deceive and mislead will not make these cardboard messiahs any more divine.
It is amazing that Michael keeps coming back with this stuff to hit at me.
I wonder whether perhaps the powerful simply cannot stand to have someone out there like me who says that COVID-19 is a fraud, that 9.11 was a false flag operation, but who refuses to say climate change is a myth. The whole scheme seems to be about forcing humanity to chose one or another false argument.
Geoengineering is a major state crime undertaken using classified budgets. It is often justified as a way to slow down climate change. Its effectiveness is limited. There are other on and off programs to spray other dangerous chemicals that are not necessarily geoengineering projects as well. I do not deny geoengineering and its impact on the climate. But the current chaos is not primarily a result of geoengineering. As to being paid to push trash, I think anyone who reads what I write can figure this out.
Wow, I am impressed.
