Dear Danny, I was fortunate to have been trained in Asian languages and to spend time abroad. I do hope we can move, maybe when people awaken from this nightmare, in a better direction. I wanted to go into American politics back in 1999 as an American from the MidWest who actually understood three Asian languages. I thought that would be my strength. In a sense it was, but I would be barred from any positions for twenty years. Now, at last, we start to get a little traction.

Your ideas are precious not only for Korean peninsula, but also for all the West, including Eastern and South-Eastern Europe where I come from (we've been annexed to the West via EU membership, our economies and farming are also being devastated).

Great article for people like me who have no idea about the Koreans. The challenges are formidable, as you say, but not insurmountable. It will take much work and pain to effect them and you will need to have confederates who share your vision. I hope there is success in reconstituting the Peninsula.

Fits with my own sensibilities and those of my immediate family that we must overcome this insanity of instant gratification - not only as individual nation states but as an entire planet. We know what cultural and in individual insanity is by now - we have had many years of this insanity. Time for unification based in fundamental human rational and logical sanity.
