I received this invitation today from Joseph Gerson, president of NGO Campaign for Peace Disarmament and Common Security, inviting me to attend this online seminar concerning the risks of an “Asia-Pacific NATO” that is being held on July 4.
Sandra I think they spent tens of millions to create Sachs as a heroic figure. He appeals to a different demographic than Trump (oppressed working class whites) or Bernie Sanders (frustrated youth who are not ready to confront the deep contractions within their own society that make them miserable). Sachs is very popular in the corporate media of China as the American that understands Chinese and who wants peace. But he might as well be working for Lockheed Martin in my opinion, granted his failure to address how corporations systematically made up all these problems in the first place.
"Sachs cannot describe the manner in which billionaires in the US and China are playing footsie in an effort to destroy the lives of working people in both countries because those billionaires and their henchmen are what guarantee him media exposure and a beautiful office at Columbia University."
Btw, wasn't Jeffrey Sachs, the creator of “shock therapy” capitalism and participated in the looting of Russia in the 1990s.
Yes, that was him. I recall reading about all of that in Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine (not sure she even wrote the book, because back then she could see disaster capitalism, but now can't seem to see it with covid or the global warming hoax). I think someone else probably wrote the book, just to give her credibility so they could use her as an operative later on.
But back to Sachs, I think he might be responsible for the deaths of millions due to his policies. Of course, criminals like him never have to pay a price.
A number of months ago, I was disgusted to see the Duran guys have Sachs on as a guest and they treated him like he was one of the "good guys"-- what a sick joke.
My first impression was that Sacks is as fake as his hairpiece, and his appearance there troubled me as well. (it wasn't just the hairpiece, but disengenuiousness)
Yeah, I kind of think of him as a sociopath. If I was an economist and my policies led to the death and suffering of millions, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. Yet that guy is still around and treated as though worthy of respect. It's sickening.
Yes, the "rebranded Sachs" has been making appearances on numerous supposed Independent YouTube channels. When you think about it, there must've been a reason why many years back he was a regular on "Morning Joe." Now he floats around YouTube pretending to be a humanitarian.
A president that could speak simple English properly would be an improvement.
And not that who's the POTUS in this grand charade actually has any real meaning, just sayin'. It's nothing more than a red-herring side show in the center ring.

A president who can speak Japanese, Chinese and Korean? What a different world that would be from the one we have now...
